New Farm Shop for Crayke  [09/09/2008]

2008 has seen the opening of a new Farm Shop close by to Crayke. The Lavender House (www.thelavenderhouse.co.uk) is located at Mill Green Farm House, just a half mile outside the village on the right of the Brandsby Road, in the premises formerly occupied by Farmhouse Preserves. The shop is run by Alison and Alan Murray who now live in the farmhouse.

As well as a wide range of quality foodstuffs, their business incorporates a tea room, a gift shop and a herb garden. Two other local businesses also are accomodated here: Dales Mobility (www.dalesmobility.co.uk), selling all forms of mobility equipment, and The Plantsmiths (www.theplantsmiths.co.uk), selling flowers and plants.
